Volunteers

Grandmothers Against Removals are always looking for supporters to help in the fight against the ongoing stolen generations. If you have any capacity to volunteer, please fill out the contact form below. 

Volunteering at GMAR can look like:

  • Fundraising: organizing and supporting fundraising campaigns, reaching out to organisations, t-shirt sales at actions and rallies, etc

  • Creative: banner making days, designing posters, logos, t-shirts and stickers, filming, etc

  • Media: writing articles, maintaining connection with the media and reporters, maintaining social media pages, updating the website, etc

  • Reach: reaching out with networks to reach people in different fields, i.e. lawyers, campaigners, reporters, other organisations

  • Meetings: organising and setting up meetings, keeping meeting minutes, providing catering, etc

  • Secondhand: capacity for volunteering at events, this can involve selling t-shirts, picking up people and equipment, etc

  • Family support: act as a point of contact for families requesting support. A communications template will be given and more information on how this works.
